Graham Scott's Match of The day

Challow & Childrey finally ended a winless run that stretched back to July 31 last summer when they pulled off a 121-run victory at Sandford St Martin in Division 2.

The visitors finished bottom of Division 1 in 2010 and have struggled to come to terms with life back in the second tier this time around.

But they flew out of the blocks on Saturday, with skipper Nigel Hume leading from the front by smashing 82 before becoming the first man to be dismissed when the score was 121 in the 25th over.

Hume was bowled by Martin Anson, who then led a Sandford fightback with a six-wicket haul that restricted Challow to 229 all out, the tenth wicket falling off the penultimate ball of the final over.

Sandford had been bowled out for 76 the week before, and former Oxfordshire paceman David Slade exploited their fragile confidence with a couple of quick wickets to leave the hosts floundering on 36-4.

Tom King then ran through the middle order before Vishane Perera, who earlier hit 45, made short work of the tail to wrap up a convincing and overdue victory.
