Division 3

STEVE Roberts made it 13 wickets in two weeks by taking 6-20 as leaders Oxford Downs 2nd romped to a ten-wicket win at Cropredy. The hosts’s 99 all out would have been even lower had Ed Somerton not compiled 43. Ian Caunce (51no) and Tim Sutton (42no) then wasted little time in finishing the match.

Downs’ closest challengers are Kingston Bagpuize, who dropped several catches but still managed to restrict local rivals Witney Mills to 185-8. Opener Ross Morgan (45) and middle order pair Peter Claridge (47) and Darren Gordon (35) all got starts for Mills, Damian Wiskin taking 4-58. Kingston were reeled in by Pierre Lefort (3-54), but Oliver Young (41), Arthur Verdin (37no) and Martin Shepherd (32no) saw the hosts to 186-5.
