Travelling to France for the first time with his dad, Oxford carper Lawson Dallimore made the most of the week-long trip when he landed this beautiful common, weighing a magnificent 41lb 14oz.
Lawson was fishing a 20-acre lake and spodded out some freebies.
He then used crab and cranberry Malarkey baits attached to a size four wide gap hook to land the beast.
Besides the big common, he also banked four 30s and four 20s.
Not a bad week’s work, and I’m sure he’ll be back there soon.
