Botley youngster Olivia Jagger will rub shoulders with British No 1 Andy Murray after being given the thumbs-up by three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and Mark Petchey at the Barclays Ball Kids National Trials.

The 13-year-old Oxford High School pupil fought off competition from 129 other youngsters at Westway Sports Centre in London, to win a place as one of 30 ball kids to star at the ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena in November.

Jagger was tested on agility, endurance, ball skills; balance, speed and teamwork.

And the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre starlet admitted she would be counting down the days until she gets to share a court with the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

“I am just over the moon to have been selected,” said Jagger who qualified through the Oxford trial.

“My favourite player is Rafael Nadal without a doubt and to think I will be on the same court as him really is a dream come true.

“It was amazing to meet Boris Becker too and he has been helping us all with our tennis and it really has been an amazing experience.”
