TADMARTON Heath will host the inaugural National Fathers & Daughters Open Foursomes in September.
The 27-hole medal, which takes place on Saturday, September 3, will seek to emulate the success of the traditional Mothers & Daughters Open Foursomes at Royal Mid Surrey.
Among the early entrants are Welsh international Katherine O’Connor and her father Arthur, who will be hoping to take advantage of local knowledge since both are members at Tadmarton.
“I think it is a great idea and I am really looking forward to playing with my dad,” said Katherine, the reigning Oxfordshire champion.
“The Mothers and Daughters event is quite a famous national competition and it would be nice to think that this event would become equally as popular.”
The competition is open to fathers and daughters of any age with active CONGU handicaps.

The closing date is July 16.
