The Carp League 2011 series moved on to Drayton Leisure on Sunday, and the 20 matchmen found the going a bit patchy compared to the previous week which produced a new match record.

Paul Dann fished pole with pellet shallow across to the island to win with 84.0.0 of carp, edging out Steve Waters.

Waters returned with 80.12.0 of mainly carp, but also around 11lb of roach.

He started off on maggot, catching those roach, then moved onto the edge with chopped worm and caught his carp.

Derek Hammond alternated between meat and corn for a third-placed 72.14.0 of carp.

Beehive AC fished their SP Courier Cup on a cold and blustery Lower Court Farm and the weather slowed sport for the 12 anglers in the early stages.

Fishing pole with maggot, Martin Wilkinson came out on top with a net of carp weighing 41.14.0.

Second place was snatched by Mike Frankum with some grass carp on corn weighing 21.15.0, followed by Richard Mott with 19.11.0 of carp on maggot.
