BICESTER & North Oxford’s Freddie Burton returned figures of 6-6 to help his side to an eight-wicket victory over Kennington in the Under 13 Ron Maudsley Trophy.

Burton’s haul helped to dismiss Kennington for 52, before he hit 24 not out as Bicester reached the target with two wickets down.

Great & Little Tew cruised to a ten-wicket win against Aston Rowant.

Sam Pougatch took 3-4 as Rowant were dismissed for only 24, before Tew cruised in.

In the Oxfordshire Under 11 League, Warborough & Shillingford beat Didcot by five wickets with two balls to spare.

Batting first, Didcot were bowled out for 101 as Josh Nugent took 4-6.

Jake Lawrance then hit 27 not out as Warborough reached 102-5.

  • FREELAND emerged victorious from the Under 15 Lady Taverners tournament held at Great & Little Tew.

They beat Aston Rowant in the final game to clinch the title.

Freeland and Rowant won their first three games in the round robin to reach the final.

Batting first, Freeland made 65-1, Carla Wood scoring 25 not out, with Rowant finishing on 34-3 in reply.
