OLLY Dimbylow held his nerve to send Challow & Childrey into the Oxfordshire semi-finals with a three-run victory over Tiddington.

Chasing 196 to win, Tiddington needed five runs off the final over with three wickets in hand.

But Dimbylow bowled Phil Pykett and Sam Hollingshead with his first two deliveries and then conceded just two off the next four to seal a last-four tie at home to Shrivenham.

Earlier, Steve Burry top-scored with 70 in Challow’s 195-8, Pykett claiming 3-29.

Tiddington opener Will Cooper led their reply with 91 and William Goodman made 23, but Ian Demain took 4-34 before Dimbylow’s final-over heroics restricted the visitors to 192-9.

OCA Division 1 side Shrivenham upset MP Sports Cherwell League Division 2 outfit Sandford St Martin in a 13-run quarter-final success Shrivenham, playing in the competition for the first time in 15 years, looked in real trouble as they collapsed to 103 all out in 27.5 overs, Chris Thompson taking 5-31.

Mark Whale top-scored with 24, while Sandford conceded 25 extras, which was to prove their downfall.

In reply, Sandford succumbed to 90 all out, with only Tom Goffe (30) and Alex Kill (15) reaching double figures.

William Snell (4-26) led the way with the ball, while Adam Tucker took 2-14 and Conor Taylor 2-15.

Last year’s national runners-up, Shipton-under-Wychwood, will visit Horspath in the other semi-final after seeing off Oxford Downs by 87 runs.

Captain Simon Hole made 84 and Andy Hemming 30 in Shipton’s 221-9, which saw them recover from 140-7, James Florey taking 4-63.

Downs were all out for 134, with Shaun Miller claiming 3-17 from his nine overs.

Horspath cruised past hosts Cropredy by seven wickets, but it could have been even more emphatic.

Cropredy were all out for 136 after winning the toss, with Mike Amos-Simpson making 42.

Skipper Robbie Eason (66) and fellow opener Ned Murray (65no) put on 134 for the first wicket before Eason was caught in the deep going for a straight six.

Andy Wynd and Adam Krol also fell with one run added before a four from Murray steered the visitors to 139-3.
