Saxton Rovers’ hopes of retaining the North Berks League Division 1 championship ended in a 2-1 defeat at home to leaders Lam-bourn Sports, writes Phil Annetts.
It means Lambourn need only a point to take the crown.
Kirk Willmoth gave Lam-bourn a first-half lead, but Paul Churchouse’s second-half penalty and Jonathan Dart’s late winner ended Saxton’s hopes.
Faringdon Town were relegated following a 4-2 defeat at Harwell Village.
Brendan Morris bagged a brace for Harwell with Danny Owen and Jamie Newport also on target.
A Robbie Harrington strike and an own goal made up Faringdon’s tally.
