Berinsfield became the first Division 4 side to lift the North Berks Cup in the competition’s 100-year history, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Goals from Mark Ingram, David Murphy, who scored in every round, and Luke Saunders gave them a 3-0 win over Division 2 side Benson AFC in the final at Abingdon United on Saturday.

AFC Wallingford thrashed Division 1 title-chasers Didcot Casuals 8-0, with Jordan Brown (3), Omar Mohamed, Craig Duncan, Ben Chadbone, Tarome Hemmings and Jamekal Henderson.

However, Lambourn Sports’ 5-0 win over Crowmarsh Gifford means the title is now beyond Wallingford’s reach.

Callum Willmoth (2), Dave Livings, Ben Matthews and Darren Jones were on target.

Saxton Rovers kept their championship hopes alive with a 4-0 win over Harwell International, with Dan Parry (2), Tom Aldsworth and Wayne Waldron on target.

l Benson Lions retained the Reading Challenge Junior Cup with a 1-0 victory in the final against Reading League side AFC Corinthians, Paul Gibbons scoring the winner.
