Horley powered to a nine-wicket victory over Stonesfield in the first round of the Airey Cup.
Steve Palmer took 5-21 as Stonesfield were skittled out for 94, before Dave Clark (50no) saw Horley to 98-1.
Charlbury reached the second round with a four-wicket win at Oxford Caribbean.
Batting first, Caribbean were shot out for 99 as Bimalka Liyanarachchi took 4-31 and Rudi Esterhuizen 3-18.
Charlbury lost regular wickets in their reply, but reached 103-6.
In the first round of the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup, there were some thrilling finishes.
Cairns Fudge edged past Uffington by two wickets.
Tim Pinington took 4-51 to help dismiss Uffington for 125, before Fudge reached 126-8, thanks largely to Andy Small’s 51.
It was even closer at Kidlington, where West Witney won by one wicket.
Martin Clutterbuck (5-30) and Greg Inge (3-13) combined to dismiss Kidlington for 137.
West Witney lost wickets throughout their run-chase, but crept home at 138-9.
A fine all-round display from Barry Martin helped Wantage record a four-wicket win over Swinbrook.
Martin took 4-32 to help dismiss the visitors for 146.
He then scored 75 not out in Wantage’s successful reply of 147-6.
