MATT Darley’s 4-8 helped Abingdon Vale 2nd defeat Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd in Division 6.
Darley and Henry Pickford (3-18) ensured Nondies were dismissed for 108, Chris Day making 37.
Chris Butcher’s 45 not out proved key as Vale reached 109-6.
Oxford Downs 3rd edged out Kimble 2nd by two wickets in a very low-scoring Division 8 contest.
Kirk Steel took 3-19 to help dismiss Kimble for 70, but Downs then limped to 71-8, with Michael Stackhouse claiming 3-12.
Veteran Robin Newman took 6-50 in Abingdon Vale 3rd’s thrilling draw against Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 3rd.
Newman’s haul ensured Nondies were all out for 142, Javed Ahrnadzi top-scoring with 33 not out.
Kamran Armad took 5-24 and Ahrnadzi 3-26 in reply as Vale reached 135-9.
Didcot 4th’s Alex Rodman shone with bat and ball as they hammered Aston Rowant 4th by 137 runs in Division 10.
Rodman made 51 and Henry Brisland 79 in Didcot’s 219, which featured 6-31 from Alex Head.
Rowant were then dismissed for 82, with Rodman taking 5-11.
