Yarnton fished the last match of their Summer League season at Ridgeway last Sunday, where Nick Collier triumphed with 91.15.0 to seal the title.

The 14 anglers fished in perfect conditions and the winning tactics were pole with pellet at 13 metres, fished shallow.

Steve Johnson fished the same method for a second-placed 65.14.0, while Doug Robinson had to settle for third with 63.14.0 of carp on pole and pellet.

Milton Pools near Wheatley was the venue for Beehive AC’s FA Cup first round and the fish obliged with over 750lbs hitting the scales from the 16 matchmen.

Martin Wilkinson took top spot with 80.0.0 of carp to pole and corn, followed by Nigel Waters with 62.2.0 of carp on the same tactics, and Richard Mott with 52.13.0 to pole maggot and pellet.

The latest Predator Spring Carp Lea-gue match was fished by 17 at Brick Hill.

Using a pole at 11 metres with corn, Paul Burton hooked three big carp, the best going 15lb, plus some smaller fish for a winning 58.9.0.

Steve Malone started with pellet and then switched to corn to catch 49.6.0 for second place, followed by Craig Partridge with 33.11.0.
