THE Oxfordshire Cup winners will definitely be able to lift the correct trophy after Sunday’s final at Iffley Road.
Last year, Oxford Harlequins failed to return the main cup and their wing Ollie Campbell lost the Ron Grimshaw Memorial Trophy – presented by the Oxford Mail to the man-of-the-match.
This meant that Chinnor captain Matt Hutchings and man-of-the-match James Cathcart had to receive substitute trophies, causing some consternation.
However, there will be no such repeat this time.
Chinnor secretary Carol Bradbrook-Taylor said: “Both trophies have been polished and returned to Doug Bosley (organiser) on 2nd April.”
