Cholsey United completed a brilliant double with a 1-0 win over Blacks Head Bletchingdon in the final of the Ridgeway Cup at Abingdon United.

Having won Division 3B, they lifted the cup with a second-half header from Andrew Allum.

It caps a memorable season for the side who have a 100 per cent record.

Carl Bloomfield hit a brace as ten-man Rover Cowley made the final of the Hedley Toms/Michael Brown Cup with a 3-1 win over Premier Division leaders Kings Arms Wheatley.

Rover were reduced to ten men when Luke Bremner was sent off, before Ryan Macer scored Rover’s third Darren Smith hit back for Kings Arms.

In the other semi-final, AFC Hinksey hammered OUP Wanderers 8-0.

Marlon James and Anaclet Odhiambo hit doubles, with other goals from Michael Herbert, Julian McCalmon, Steve Haines and Micah Roachford.

In the league, Aaron Barrett hit a hat-trick in ten-man Donnington’s 7-1 win at Standlake Garage in Division 1.

Aaron Williams (2), Mike Steers and Byron Jose wrapped up the rout.

Barrett had a spot-kick saved by Standlake Garage’s Jack Costar. Mev Gundem replied.

Ian Smith hit a double as Research Machines won 6-1 at Wallingford Exiles in Division 2.

Nathan Brown, Stuart Coplub, Ben Steptoe and Andy Cummins got their others. Jay Smith netted for Exiles.

Division 3A champions Yellow Eagles made it eight victories in a row as they ended their campaign with a 3-0 success against Abingdon Exiles.

Robert Padbury headed the opener, before player-manager Simon Hill doubled the advantage with a penalty and Ben Crawford headed in No 3.
