Horspath Hammers came from behind for a second week running to defeat Sheffield Stars 99-78 in the British Premier League.

This time, Hammers overturned a four-point deficit by heat four, with Steve Harris and Lewis Osborne gaining a 7-3 victory.

Mark Boaler and Mateusz Szymczak rammed home another 7-3 to put Horspath up in the sixth, but Sheffield kept it close until heat 15 when four consecutive maximums saw the champions home.

British champion Boaler went unbeaten, while Osborne returned to form in a strong pair with Chris Timms.

l HORSPATH Combination were too strong for Sheffield, registering nine maximum heat wins with Mike Burgess, Zac Payne and Matt Coulter unbeaten in an 87-42 success.

l LIVVI Horsley was Horspath’s only winner as they finished third in the opening round of the British Junior & Youth League at Poole.

Horsley won the girls 14-17 category, with Charlie Jane Herbert, Lee Clarke, George Horsley, Jordan Richardson and Jack Herbert reaching their respective A finals.

CHARLIE Jane Herbert won the South & South West Wom-en’s Grand Prix, Rachel Edge finishing third, while Livvi Horsley fell in the A Final.

STEVE Harris and Paul Heard are flying the flag for Horspath at the World Championships, which start tomorrow in Edenton, North Carolina, USA.
