Berinsfield pulled off a shock 3-1 win against Division 1 Didcot Casuals to reach the North Berks Cup final.

Mark Ingram headed Division 4 leaders Berinsfield ahead from Chris Murphy’s corner.

Alan Bertram hit the Berinsfieldbar, only for Ingram to grab his second when he fired under Gary Clark.

Minutes later, though, Didcot cut their lead when Paul Powell lobbed home from the edge of the area.

Just before the break, Dave Murphy made it 3-1 with a hard low shot.

In the second half, Didcot’s Russ Tyler hit the bar, but Berinsfield held on to set up a clash with Benson AFC at Abingdon United on May 7 (7pm).

The Division 2 side also upset the odds with a 4-2 extra-time win against nine-man Saxton Rovers from Division 1.

Nick Skiller headed in Benson’s opener and just before the break, Saxton were reduced to nine men when Mark Druce was dismissed for violent conduct and Steve Bloomfieldfollowed for a second booking.

Garry Hartley levelled in the second half to set up extra-time.

Tom Halliday restored Benson’s lead in the first period, only for Ben Sutton to make it 2-2 with a free-kick.

In the second period of extra time, strikes from Chris Roberts and James Oliver sealed victory.

In the league, Jordan Brown struck four times as AFC Wallingford moved up to second in Division 1 with a 5-1 win at Drayton.

Ben Chadbone scored their fifth goal, with Richard Chilvers replying.

Long Wittenham Athletic failed to take full advantage of Benson’s cup focus in Division 2 as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Steventon to stay two points behind the leaders.

Zain Sharif and Andy Marriott scored for Wittenham with Stuart Evans and Dan McArdle replying.

Ardington & Lockinge battled from 4-0 down to beat Wootton & Dry Sandford Res 6-4 in Division 3.

Trailing to goals from Darren Webster, Tom Cooke, Chris Shahab and Tom Srawley, goals from Dan Hogan (2) , Chris Hogan, Adam Hogan, Tom Bennett and Jonathan Eudell completed an astonishing turnaround.

Marcham Res sealed promotion from Division 5 with a 1-0 win against Benson Lions Res, Seb Crowley the scorer.
