WALLINGFORD’S 55-12 defeat at Marlow left them in major relegation trouble.

While Wallingford visit title-chasing Amersham & Chiltern in their final game, drop-zone rivals Bletchley and Reading Abbey play relegated Oakmeadians and Wimborne respectively.

Should Bletchley and Abbey win, Wallingford will need at least two points to stay up.

On Saturday, Wallingford trailed 17-5 at half-time, Richard Turner scoring after Johnny Collett’s break.

Flanker Pete Holton was sin-binned in a poor second half that saw Ed Jenkins score Wallingford’s only try, Ralph Smith converting.

Fly half Henry Lamb ran in a hat-trick of tries in Witney’s 50-14 hammering of Olney.

Lamb scored and converted the first two tries, then No 8 Joe Rowles crashed over.

Wing Lewis Collins got the ball rolling after the break.

Replacement Jake Thomas pounced on a loose ball, Henry Lamb converting.

Olney hit back with two converted tries for 31-14.

Lock Marc Copperwheat went over on 70 minutes.

Henry Lamb converted this and a last-minute score from replacement Tim Muller, Lamb’s third try coming in between.
