National 3 South West
CHINNOR suffered their heaviest defeat of the season, going down 64-13 at champions Hartpury College.
The nine-try loss saw Chinnor drop to fifth place on points difference.
Flanker Will Foden put Hartpury ahead with a fifth-minute try, but Chinnor centre Matt Goode immediately replied via penalty.
Hartpury roared into a 29-3 half-time lead thanks to a try treble from Adam Wallace, plus one from fellow centre Jean Botha, with full back James Love converting two.
Fly Half Tom Stevenson’s try, converted by Love, made it 36-3, but Chinnor full back Ricky Hopwood crossed the line on 47 minutes.
Tries from No 8 Brandon Walker, Botha and lock Kobus Du Rand, all converted by Love, extinguished any Chinnor comeback hopes.
Goode grabbed a second try for the visitors on 73 minutes, but Love converted his own effort to wrap it up.
Oxford Harlequins’ home game with Bournemouth was called off after the Dorset club’s wing Sam Yarwood died in a canoeing accident.
