Champions Wallingford Ladies saw off closest rivals Oxford Hawks 2nd 2-0 in their penultimate Trysports 3-Counties League Premier 1 game of the season at Banbury Road North. On a hot day, goals from the division’s top scorer Kirsty Ross and Tazz Mottram earned Wallingford their 21st win of the season from 24 outings.
Meanwhile, Wallingford won a mixed tournament at Bicester on Sunday, beating Midlands Premier side Stratford 4-2 in the final.
Witney Ladies 2nd won 3-1 at Reading in Division 1 thanks to goals from Hannah Jarvis, Katy Edwards and Gabby Evans.
Witney 3rd are promoted to Division 2 after Banbury failed to win the points they needed against Marlow.
