Berinsfield light middleweight Daley Johnson claimed his fourth win after recording a comprehensive points success over Yeovil’s Tyrell Gray at Reading.

The 23 year-old was quicker into his stride and launched neat right hands off the jab to impose his authority during the first session.

Gray briefly rallied after the interval, but Johnson quickly turned the tables as the round progressed by landing the better body shots.

The Berinsfield man then switched his attention upstairs to dominate the final session. But there was disappointment for the two light heavyweights from Blackbird Leys also in action at the same tournament.

Josh Trafford, 16, battled bravely, but never fully came to terms with the height advantage of Turners ABC rival Harry Stevens.

Scott Walsh, 22, was out to add to his previous wins as he conceded almost 4 kg to Finchley rival James Morris.

The Cowley man started well and demonstrated more variety in his work during the first session.

Morris showed the more refined jab of the pair, but it was questionable as to whether his strike rate was the better of the pair.

When it went to the judges Walsh missed out on a debatable split decision.
