Alex Murphy, 15, of Didcot Barramundi, set a county record for his 100m breaststroke with 1.04.43 and a new meet age group record at Aylesbury.

This gave him first place in both the junior and open championships. He also won gold and set a new meet record for his 50m butterfly with 26.71 which gave him first place in the junior championships.

Daniella Springett, 13, won gold in the 50m breaststroke (35.16) which placed her third in the juniors and third overall.

Oliver Beard, 11, picked up golds in the 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 50m backstroke, for first place in the age championships.

Olly Ripley, 12, won third place in his age group following his gold in the 100m breaststroke, silvers in 100m IM and 200m backstroke and bronze in 50m backstroke.

Barramundi finished fourth out of the 19 clubs.

Matthew Senior, 13, won five of Wantage White Horses seven golds, with Ella Black, ten, claiming the others two.

Those winning age trophies were Harry James, Emily Nisbet, Cordelia Halfhead, Jake Kay and Daniel Jenkins.

Harry James came overall third in the junior 100m breaststroke county cham-pionship with 1.10.10.
