City of Oxford swimmer Maia Little stormed to three victories to clinch the best all rounder trophy for ten-year-old girls in the county age group championships held at Aylesbury.

The ten-year-old Oxford High junior school pupil touched first in the 200 metres individual medley, clocking 3mins 1.07secs with further successes in the 200m breaststroke (3.14.69) and 50m breaststroke (42.21).

Teammate Annie Sharpe was runner-up in the best 10 year-old girl category, adding a gold in the 100m backstroke (1.21.72).

City, who finished top of the Oxfordshire rankings, claim-ed a clean sweep in the 13-year-old boys best all-rounder awards with Nat Armstrong coming first even though he was unable to compete in the last week because of illness.

Runner-up Harry Basterfield landed two golds in the 100m freestyle (1.01.28) and 200m freestyle (2.11.83), a silver in 200m backstroke (2.26.48) and a bronze in 50m backstroke (32.91) to take second.

Todd Giles notched up silver in the same freestyle events (1.01.34 and 2.12.17) to be third.

Robert do Patrocinio, ten, also took the third best prize with a silver in the 100m medley (1.20.19) and triple bronze in 200m freestyle (2.31.76), and backstroke races of 50m (36.51) and 200m (2.49.46).

In the girls group, Isobel Meikle, 11, was the second best age group performer by adding two golds in the 200m medley (2.44.09) and 50m freestyle (30.76).

Liz Oliver, in the 14-year-old section, claimed third place, adding two bronzes in the 50m freestyle (29.00) and 100m butterfly (1.09.89).

Lucy Smith,14, clocked 28.56 secs to take first place in the 50m freestyle and was crow-ned champion in the 100m butterfly (1.08.71). Emma Lo-mas,14, dominated the 50m breaststroke and 200m in 36.88 and 2.51.82 respectively.

Chiara de Vita grabbed two golds in the nine-year-old group in the breaststroke races of 50m (36.88) and 200m (3.42.59) In the multi-disability events, Chris Currie snatched two golds in the 100m freestyle (1.09.40)and 50m backstroke (36.66), giving him a tally of four.
