Oxford City are set to give Joe White his debut in goal when they host Cirencester Town – and it’s all down to new Swindon boss Paul Hart.

With on-loan Swindon goalkeeper Jakub Jesionkowski likely to be recalled to help them in their League 1 relegation fight, White is likely to get his chance in goal.

Ford said he would have no hesitation in picking White, 19, who last season was on the books of Milton Keynes Dons.

“Swindon have a 24-hour recall on his loan and wanted him in their squad for Tuesday’s game at Plymouth,” said Ford, whose side lost 2-0 at home to Stourbridge at the weekend.

“I am waiting to hear back from them, but I can’t see him playing for us Saturday.

“Joe has been playing for Oxford City Nomads and has all the attributes to be a fine keeper.

“Paul Hart taking over has not helped us because when a new man comes in, he wants to have a look at all his players.”

Lee Steele, Craig McIllwain and Dave Savage return to City’s squad after injury.

Meanwhile, young striker Felipe Barcelos has agreed to sign a two-year contract with the Court Place Farm outfit.

Ford added: “He has been outstanding for us in his last five games. His attitude is first-class and he has a really good habit of listening to what his manager says.”

City boss Ford said it was vital his side got back on track.

“We should have got a good result (against Stourbridge),” he added.

“But if you keep gifting sides two goal you aren’t going to win any games.

“Cirencester will be a tough – they are very competitive, but I think we have the personnel to cope.”

Didcot Town manager Ady Williams has hailed his side’s resilience in last Saturday’s draw against Salisbbury and asked for more of the same at home to high-fliers Chesham United.

“I was really pleased,” said Williams, who welcomes back Elliott Osborne-Ricketts after a ban, though Michael Alexis is suspended.

“If you get a point off the top of the league side, you have to be happy with it.

“After the first half, I felt there was room for improvement and changed things.

“I thought we dominated the second-half.The lads that came in did really well and now everyone is fighting for a place, which is what I want.” Didcot Tn (v Chesham, home): from Warrell, Gunn, M Williams, Huggins, A Williams, Stanley, Mutero, Heapy, Bartley, Lawrence, Tabor, Osborne-Ricketts, Castello, Halls.
