United boss Chris Wilder has issued a reminder that none of his team have a cast-iron right to stay in the team.

Even goalkeeper Ryan Clarke, who has been an ever present this season.

Wilder said: “Nobody is ever set in stone here. No-body’s guaranteed a spot, they have to produce week in, week out.

“Of course I’m not going to drop Ryan Clarke, for example, because for Stockport’s first goal he should maybe have caught it or punched it clear.

“But he has to realise he has to play well, and that’s just one example.

“I’ve got Simon Eastwood, who’s a decent goalkeeper, but I’m not going to drop Clarkey on the back of one mistake.”

THE Football Association have fined Macclesfield and Wycombe £9,000 for the in-jury-time brawl at the Moss Rose on February 26.

Macclesfield had already punished every player, the manager and assistant manager involved in the fixture.

The fracas, in a game that Wanderers won 1-0, erupted after Macclesfield’s former Oxford United striker Ricky Sappleton appeared to kick out at Wycombe’s Stuart Lewis.

Several players joined in and Sappleton and Emile Sinclair were dismissed, along with Wycombe's David Winfield.

The match was referee James Adcock’s Football League debut!

TREVOR Lambert, Chris Davis and Tim Rosser are stepping down from the committee of OxVox, the Oxford United supporters trust.

Lambert, who had been a stalwart since the trust’s inception, says he wishes to resign both as chairman and from the committee.
