Oxford Harlequins centre Chris Tuatara has been ruled out for the season with a broken foot.

The former professional rugby league player was injured during last week’s 34-17 defeat at Weston-super-Mare in National 3 South West.

Director or rugby John Brodley said: “He is going to be in plaster for eight weeks.

“It is the way things are going for us this year.”

Brodley has named a 20-man squad for tomorrow’s home game against Redingensians, with injury doubts over lock Alan Purchase (ankle) and fly half Jeff Stewart (head).

Joey Todd, Hary Burn, Alex Powell, Paul Delage and Tim Knapp are added to the squad.

Simon Tattersall will start at hooker for Chinnor’s trip to Coney Hill as Alan Cawston, has work commitments.

Prop Sam Ludgate comes into the squad.

Head coach Jason Bowers said: “The boys played really well against Cleve. We are hitting form at the right time.

“We are looking forward to a physical encounter at Coney Hill, which will set us up for the derby against Quins.”

Second-team captain Steve Drake replaces the unavailable James Gaunt at scrum half for Henley Hawks’ home clash with Canterbury in National 2 South.

Drake will partner James Comben at fly half, with Tom Allen and Neil Baggett moving to outside centre and full back respectively.

Wing Jack Shaylor is away, while flanker Ryan Long (rib injury) is replaced by Adam Holloway.

Prop Rowan Fuller and scrum half Micky Molloy come in on the bench.

Mike Turner returns from injury to partner Gerry Hill in Wallingford’s second row at Olney in South West 1 East.

Jamie Lavers and Glenn Dearlove come in on the wings, with Ralph Smith moving to full back.

Centre Joe Collins and flanker Tim Muller return for Witney’s home clash with basement boys Wimborne.

Witney are seeking their win at Hailey Road since November 13.

No 8 Simon Brand, centre Guy Sturla and fly half Pete Papenfus are back for Banbury’s trip to Worcester Wanderers in Midlands 1 West.

Captain Nick Sevier moves from fly half to outside centre as Grove host Windsor in Southern Counties North.
