Oxford University are to host England’s World Cup opponents Georgia.
Ranked 15th in the world, Georgia will face the Dark Blues at Iffley Road on Monday, March 28.
Many of Georgia’s top players such as David Khinchagishvili, Goderdzi Shvelidze, Akvsenti Giorgadze, David Zirakashvili, Lasha Malaguradze and David Kubriashvili play in France’s Top 14.
They are coached by former Wallaby defence coach John Muggleton, Gloucester centre Don Caskie and Ireland’s Michael Bradley.
OURFC general manager Tim Stevens said: “To have the opportunity to play a team involved in the World Cup, who will also be playing England, is a great coup for Oxford University.
“It’s a great chance for our players to experience a side of Georgia’s physical power and intensity, but we will be determined to produce a performance that will be worthy of the occasion.”
