Abba Athletic reached the semi-finals of the Banbury District & Lord Jersey League's Mid Oxon Cup with a 2-1 comeback victory against Division 1 high-fliers FC Naranja.

After a goalless first half,Naranja broke the deadlock, when Nick Price squeezed in at the near post.

That sparked Abba into life, with Matthew Drew beating three defenders before firing in the equaliser from the edge of the box.

Abba kept up the pressure and were rewarded when Drew latched on to a pass from Craig Warmington before hitting the winner.

In league action, Heyford Athletic extended their lead at the top of Division 1 with a 2-0 win against Bloxham.

Wes Bone gave Heyford a first-half lead with a powerful effort inside the area.

Ben Haynes netted a second after the break to seal it for Heyford.

FC Langford preserved their unbeaten away record with a 4-2 win at Deddington Res in Division 2.

Langford went ahead when Mikie Wyatt latched onto a through ball from Aaron Monk before slotting home.

Luke Phillips made it 2-0 when he headed in a free kick from Tom Pagan.

After the break, Jordan Kaye scored twice to level.

Wyatt made it 3-2 with his second goal before Tom Pagan sealed it with No 4.

Steeple Aston Res had to be content with a share of the spoils in a 0-0 draw with Heyford Athletic Res in Division 3.

The closest either side came to scoring was when Steeple hit the woodwork in the second half.
