  • AIDAN Davies scored twice as Vale of White Horse Schools Under 13s finished with a flourish to win 4-1 at Luton in the Meeson Trophy.

David Willcox drove home following a corner to put Vale in front, only for Luton to equalise.

Luton were then awarded a penalty after Tervel Atanasov was harshly judged to have handled, but Vale keeper Connor Johns saved the spot-kick.

That proved the turning point as Joel Thompson provided the pass for Davies to cut in and fire into the top corner.

Davies grabbed his second soon after, and Thompson completed the scoring with five minutes left.

  • VALE of White Horse Under 14s shared the goals around as they maintained their 100 per cent record this season with a 5-2 win in a friendly at Luton.

A Matthew Taylor penalty, George Reid, Curtis Mason, Jared Jones and Sam Barder made up Vale’s tally.

  • ELIAS Djaoui and Kieran Kerby bagged braces in Vale of White Horse Under 11s’ 4-3 win at Solihull in a friendly at Silhill FC.
  • WINDMILL Primary School fly the flag for Oxford United in the npower Football League Under 11 Kids Cup at Wycombe next Wednesday.

They will be facing sides representing other clubs in the six-a-side tournament at the Cressex Astroturf.
