Ben Egginton and Jordan Beardmore secured a gold medal hat-trick in five days during half-term week.

Egginton, from Faringdon, and Oxford’s Beardmore won the under 15 boys’ doubles at Badminton England bronze grade tournaments in Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Shropshire.

They also enjoyed singles success, with Egginton claiming a silver medal at the Hertfordshire event, and Beardmore taking bronze in Hampshire and Shropshire.

Thame’s Jack Bird took a singles gold in Hertfordshire.

Imogen Langford, from Harwell, won under 15 girls’ singles gold at the Telford bronze grade tournament, having taken silver six days before in Hertfordshire.

In between, she teamed up with twin sister Edith to win doubles bronze in Hampshire.

Molly Naylor (Drayton) claimed an under 13 bronze grade medal treble, with silver in Hampshire and a bronze in Herts, where she and Louise Atkins (Drayton), took girls’ doubles silver.

Megan Ready and Kezia Lawson won girls’ doubles and singles bronzes in Buckinghamshire’s bronze event.

Doubles victories for Lucy Fisk and Jamie Blair, Jack Smith and Michael Brockie, plus a singles success from Alice Atkins, could not save Oxfordshire Under 17s from a 17-3 defeat to Middlesex in the Shires League.
