RADLEY youngster Lois Waknell came of age as she reached the final of the Under 15 200m at the Aviva England Athletics Open Under 15-20 Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
Waknell clocked 26.84 secs in her first heat, before booking a place in the final with a time of 27.77.
She lowered this time still further in the final, recording 26.77 to finish fifth – the time ranking her in the top 16 under 15s in the country this year.
Waknell also reached the semi-finals of the 60m.
Clocking a personal best of 8.19 secs, she just missed out on a place in the final by one hundreth of a second.
Oxford City’s Simi Fajemisin also reached the semi-finals, where she was fourth in 8.24 secs.
In the under 15 girls’ 800m, Banbury Harrier Tory Mobley finished third in the final in 2.23.05, while Connie McMillan clocked 2.19.14 in her heat in the under 17 girls’ race.
