DIDCOT Town moved off the bottom of the Premier Division and out of the relegation zone with a crucial 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Weymouth last night.
Elliott Osbourne-Ricketts fired home from 25 yards in the eighth minute to put Didcot ahead.
Andy Williams hit the bar with a header and Michael Bartley blasted over as Ady Williams’s side took control.
David Lawrence headed wide of an open goal just before half-time, but the striker made amends on 69 minutes when he fired home.
With 12 minutes remaining, Bartley was brought down by Weymouth keeper Nick Jordan in the area, but Michael Alexis saw his spot-kick saved – Didcot’s third penalty miss in a row.
With six minutes left, former Oxford United midfielder Rob Wolleaston pulled a goal back, but Didcot held on.
