MID Oxon roared back from two goals down for a thrilling 3-2 win at Brierley Hill & Dudley in the ESFA Under 15 Trophy sixth round.

It looked as if Mid Oxon were down and out at half-time in the last-16 tie at Long Lane Park, Essington after Damien Burton and Regan Carthy scored for Brierley Hill.

But Yassin Elouahabi and Liam Botcherby netted to make it all-square, before Connor Robbins grabbed the winner three minutes from time.

Now Mid Oxon are at home to Oldham in the last eight with the venue and date to be arranged.

  • VALE of White Horse Under 11s slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Woking in the County League at Brookwood Country Park, Knaphill.

Jack Buchanan fired Vale into a second-minute lead, but Woking levelled.

Vale fell behind in the second half, but were only denied an equaliser when Daniel Sefton’s shot hit a post in the last minute.

  • OXFORDSHIRE Under 14s were sunk by a three-goal salvo early in the second half of their Reed Trophy clash against Berkshire at Milton United.

Alex Dayem raced away to open the scoring, before Tope Fowodu’s 20-yard strike and a Tom Holland header stretched Berkshire’s lead.

Oxon pulled a goal back when George Reid followed up to score after Matt Jones parried Jordan Jeacock’s shot.

Oxfordshire bid to bounce back when they take on Merseyside in the ESFA Under 14 Inter County semi-final at Liverpool Soccer Centre tomorrow (6pm).

  • ST John the Evangelist, Carterton, triumphed in the Oxfordshire final of the ESFA Boys’ Under 11 seven-a-side championship at Our Lady’s, Abingdon.

They topped the group on goal difference after finishing level on points with St Andrew’s (Oxford).

St John beat Watlington 2-1 and St Nicolas (Abingdon) 3-0 as well as drawing 1-1 with St Andrew’s.

They now go on to represent Oxon in the south west regional finals in Keynsham, Bristol, on Saturday, March 26.

  • WHITCHURCH triumphed in the Oxfordshire final of the ESFA Under 11 Small Schools' Soccer Sevens at Our Lady’s, Abingdon.

They came out on top with a 1-0 win over Emmanuel Christian (Oxford) following a goalless draw with William Fletcher (Yarnton) and a 1-1 stalemate with Dry Sandford.

Whitchurch now represent Oxon in the south west regional finals at Keynsham, Bristol, on Saturday, March 12.
