Wallingford battled back from 14-0 down to see off Reading Abbey 26-14 at the Hithercroft.
The first half-hour proved even before Wallingford fly half Henry Venners saw his opposite number Perry Jansen intercept and run in from 50 metres, Tom Waterhouse converting.
Abbey managed a second breakaway try, Waterhouse scoring and converting.
Venners suffered a facial injury in the build-up and had to be taken to hospital.
Wallingford scrum half Glenn Dearlove and centre Pete Holton fed stand-in fly half Ralph Smith, who dived over and then converted his own try.
Dearlove then touched down a pushover effort and Smith converted.
Wallingford prop Kris Blaszko scored from a driving maul and they turned over an Abbey scrum for their fourth try from captain Ian Jeffreys, Smith converting.
Witney’s poor run continued with a fifth straight defeat – this time 13-12 at Amersham & Chiltern.
Amersham had the edge up front, but Witney wing James Monks barrelled over for the opening try.
The hosts replied with a penalty and Witney lost stand-in skipper Jez Hicks to a shoulder injury.
Witney conceded a penalty try, which was converted.
Facing the wind, they dug deep in the second half.
Joe Collins intercepted a stray pass and fed the supporting Jake Thomas to score the visitors’ second try, but Amersham won it with a penalty.
