Banbury Utd 0

Cirencester Tn 2 (Mark Draycott 31, Bevan 90)

Banbury United will be slipping into the Premier Division relegation zone if they produce many more performances similar to the one which saw them slide to defeat against Cirencester Town.

From the early stages, Billy Jeffrey’s side were second best.

Goalkeeper Joe Murrell came to Banbury’s rescue with three saves in the opening 15 minutes.

But he was powerless to stop Mark Draycott driving the ball home from 15 yards from a tight angle to gicve Cirencester a 31st-minute lead.

New signing Ainsley McDonald came on for the second half, and Banbury had plenty of possession in the last half hour.

But despite this, the only time keeper Matt Bulman was called on to make a save was then he flicked Joe Coleman’s cross over.

And Banbury’s woe was complete in the second minute of injury time when Jody Bevan a lobbed the stranded Murrell.
