United fans excited by the possibility of a second successive play-off final can’t sing “We’re going to Wem-ber-ley” – because this season’s npower League Two play-off final will be at Old Trafford on Saturday May 28.
Even the automatic promotion places are not far off.
But is there a worry supporters are getting carried away?
Said manager Chris Wilder: “I want us to be ambitious, and to achieve, but we’ve seen the downs and ups you get.
“When we had a down people were talking about us getting relegated, when we’re doing well, people are talking about promotion.
“We can’t affect what people say about us, but we’re realistic and we have to remember we’re new into the League and we’ve got to keep focused just on the next game.
“There’s enough experience in the staff to ensure nobody looks too far ahead.”
