Oxford head coach Alan Hancock is looking to raise support for Saturday’s must-win Southern Counties North clash with Broadmoor Staff.
Hancock’s men host second-from-bottom Broadmoor, who are just three points behind them, in a match he feels will shape their season.
Victory could see Oxford pull eight points clear of the drop zone and give their season real momentum.
Hancock said: “We are halfway though the campaign and it has been hard.
“We have got Broadmoor Staff on Saturday and that match determines how we go on for the rest of the season.
“I want to raise the morale of the boys as we have not had a win since playing at Chippy.
“I would like to get the Oxford public behind us on Saturday. We are their home team.
“Broadmoor have got forwards who are 28 stone and we will be looking to move the ball away from contact and play an entertaining game.”
