Witney bounced back to the top of South Clubs’ Women's League Division 3A with a 5-2 win against third-placed Marlow, and a 3-1 victory on Sunday at fourth-placed Staines 2nd.

In Saturday’s game, Marlow went 2-0 up, but Witney battled back.

Sharon Hall bagged her first goal for the club before Joy Mangazi converted a penalty stroke.

Sunny Ricketts then scored a great solo goal, and in the second half, Mangazi and Lucy Reading added further goals.

At Staines, Mangazi scored all three goals in a great team performance.

City of Oxford had a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Staines 2nd.

They created more chances than their opponents, but failed to capitalise.

Banbury made it four wins on the bounce when they beat Teddington 4-1 at home.

Captain Lara Wilkinson scored in the first minute after a cross from Ruth Tuthill.

Teddington levelled from a long through ball, but Banbury came back with Sadie Lapper scoring from a short- corner routine.

Lapper struck again from a tight angle, with the ball coming off a post and then back off the keeper and into the net.

In the second half, Lapper converted a penalty stroke for her hat-trick, and her 11th goal since signing for Banbury over Christmas.

Meanwhile, Bicester march on in Division 1 of the Trysports 3 Counties League, winning 6-0 at Newbury & Thatcham.

Kath James (2), Lisa Ryan, Ruth Thomas, Shelley Rich-ardson and Lilla Venning got the goals.

Wallingford chalked up their 13th consecutive win in Premier 1, 5-1 at Wokingham.

Oxford Hawks played two friendlies in one day before their league programme resumes, beating Staines 2-0, and drawing 2-2 with Bedford.

Sandra Frankland and Ali Omell struck against Staines, with Kathryn Poulter finishing off a short-corner routine against Bedford, and Frankland getting her second of the day.
