Striker James Constable was adamant he should have had a late penalty in Saturday’s defeat, writes Jon Murray.
The Oxford United captain, who returned to the starting line-up, was pulled back by Northampton defender Dean Beckwith in injury time.
But referee Andre Marriner waved away United’s protests.
“It was a clear penalty,” Constable said. “We feel pretty hard done by all in all.
“We created some decent chances and maybe on a different day we might have picked up a couple more goals with a better quality of ball in, and better finishing as well.
“It was a great time for us to get our goal, but maybe we lost a bit of what we’d done so well in the first half.
“We kept the ball well then, but after we scored we went a bit gung-ho and lost our shape.”
