Didcot Town wasted a series of golden chances as they shared the points in an exciting Premier Division encounter at the npower Loop Meadow Stadium.
Dave Lawrence put Didcot ahead after 34 minutes.
Almost out of nothing the ball fell to him 25 yards out, and his finish was inch perfect over the diving Chris Snoddy into the far corner.
But Chippenham were level on the stroke of half-time when Shaun Lamb headed in Jack McKenna’s corner.
After the break, Lawrence fired high and wide with an open goal in front of him, Michael Bartley shot straight at Snoddy when clean through, and Josh Huggins fired wide from ten yards.
Chippenham also had their chances with Steve Smith saving from McKenna and Lewis Powell.
