Swindon S’marine 3 (Cook 44, Horgan 50, Wells 76)

Banbury Utd 0

Banbury United produced an instantly forgettable display as they crashed to defeat against a vastly superior Swindon Supermarine in the Premier Division.

Billy Jeffrey’s side were hit by the late withdrawals of Henry Owen and Declan Benjamin (injuries) and Liam Hynes (illness).

In addition, Joe Coleman was suffering from illness, which finally saw him substituted, and David Stone and Delroy Gordon were feeling the after-effects of flu jabs.

But this should be no excuse as Swindon bossed the game.

However, it wasn’t until the 44th that Steve Cook rifled home their opener.

Five minutes into the second half, Supermarine skipper Gary Horgan’s terrific 25-yard shot made it 2-0.

Ben Wells finished off a flowing move for Swindon’s third.
