Sam Harper, from Hanborough, collected the bronze medal in a Badminton England under 17 bronze graded tournament at Stevenage.
After edging past Faringdon’s Michael Brockie 21-19 to reach the semi-finals, Harper (pictured) lost 21-16 to Alex Thompson, of Leicester.
Brockie’s consolation was taking a silver in the doubles with Oxford’s Sam Stroudley.
Amy Lawson, of Benson, took a bronze in the girls’ event.
Ben Eggington, from Faringdon, and Begbroke’s Sanjana Kini claimed singles bronze medals in a graded under 15 tournament in Melksham, Wiltshire.
Eggington also took a doubles bronze when partnering Jordan Beardmore, from Botley.
Meanwhile, Lara Stead and Shreeya Parulekar were unbeaten as Oxfordshire under 15s beat Northants 15-8 in an inter-county match.
Charlie Shan was undefeated as Oxfordshire under 11s drew 24-24 with Hampshire in a friendly at Abingdon.
