It was goalless at half-time between Bradford City and Oxford United at Valley Parade after an even and interesting opening period.
There were few clear goalscoring chances, Ryan Clarke making one save from Omar Daley, who also toe-poked a shot wide from near the penalty spot.
Oxford had begun the League Two game the better, with Josh Payne and Simon Heslop sending shots from outside the box wide.
The U's, looking for their second away win of the season, had to defend well as City finished the half strongly.
