Formula Renault UK teenage star Will Bratt heads to Donington Park this week confident his Scorpio Motorsport team will provide him with the car he needs to open the second half of the season with a place on the podium.

At the Loughborough-based Scorpio's track, hopes are high of a strong performance from 18-year-old from Adderbury in the 11th and 12th rounds of the championship.

He is very keen to return to the podium, having recorded two top-four results from the last three races.

The team are confident about their prospects for the next two rounds which take place this weekend.

"We think we should have a good set-up for Donington", commented Bratt.

"I was very happy with fourth place at Croft and we had pretty good pace after we made some changes following the first race.

"I think to break into the top three would have been a bridge too far, but at Donington I do feel confident we'll be closer to the outright pace.

"If we can get on the podium, it'd be fantastic."

Bratt enjoys racing at Donington Park, and having tasted the winner's champagne at Oulton Park during the fourth round, both Will and his Apotex Pharmaceuticals-backed team see no reason why more victories can't follow.

"I'm confident we can take another two or three podiums this year," he added.

Pre-race testing takes place on Thursday.
