Hugo Scott scored twice as Mansfield Road kept up the pressure on Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division leaders Bletchingdon with a 4-0 win over Oxford University Press.

Cameron Knight latched onto a poor defensive clearance to fire them ahead and Luis McGillycuddy doubled their lead just before the break.

It was all over for five minutes into the second half when Scott made it 3-0 from the penalty spot.

He then smashed home his second of the game to wrap-up the points.

Leaders Bletchingdon strolled to a 4-1 win at Eynsham, thanks to a double from Richard Wells.

Stuart Dunham and Stuart Wells completed their tally, with Craig Freeman replying.

There were six different scorers as Division 1 table-toppers Slade Farm United thumped an under-strength Long Crendon 6-0.

Chris Philpott, Ben Smith, Lee Clack, Michael Philpott, Nick Harrow and Jonny Betts made up Slade’s tally.

John Ramsey scored a late equaliser as North Oxford drew 1-1 at Middleton Cheney.

The hosts took the lead when Aaron Buckingham finished off a fine move.

However, they were made to pay for missed chances when Ramsey popped up to seal a share of the spoils.

Quarry 09 drew 1-1 against Oakley United – the home side’s third successive draw.

Oakley went ahead five minutes from the break with an excellent 20-yard free-kick from Dom Bruno.

Quarry were handed a great chance to level when Mark Scanes was brought down in the box after the break, but Luke Brandon fired the penalty against a post.

However, they did snatch a point when Kev Brandon equalised at the second attempt after his first effort from Michael Williams’s superb cross came back off a post.

Kyle Pullen netted a double as Northway came back from a goal down to beat Oxford Irish 4-2.

Irish started strongly, Michael Bettany firing them in front, only for Lee Keyes to level and Pullen’s first of the game giving Northway the lead.

Shortly after the break, Pullen made it 3-1, before Danny Brookes clawed one back for Irish.

But with the visitors looking for an equaliser, Jake Carter sealed victory from a counter-attack.
