Division 2 basement boys Eynsham stunned Division 1 title favourites Tetsworth by edging to a three-wicket victory in the OCA's Airey Cup semi-final yesterday.

They were indebted to 15-year-old Umair Ghozali, who hit a six to bring the scores level with eight balls to go, and then smashed a four to win the match.

Tetsworth were bowled out for 167 with Oxfordshire Under 17 seamer Sam Hollingshead claiming 3-33.

Eynsham paced their reply superbly, with Andy Howard (43) and Mark Butler (42) in form.

Colin Quow claimed 4-52 for Tetsworth, but youngster Ghozali hit the winning runs to send Eynsham into a final against Hook Norton on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28.

In the other semi-final, Hook Norton's superior fielding was the difference as they beat Great Horwood by 27 runs.

Horwood dropped six catches as Hook Norton made 157 with Tim Lunel hitting 41.

Hooky then took seven catches as Great Horwood were dismissed for 130, Matthew McStraw hitting 74.
