WHILE many Abingdon Amblers athletes were preparing for the Abingdon Marathon, the club sent a strong team to Birmingham to compete in the senior men’s National Six-stage Relay Champ-ionships on Saturday.
Oz Ellis produced the fastest leg of their team, clocking 19mins 32secs as Abingdon finished 65th out of 83 entrants.
The competition was won by Bedford & County AC.
