Lucy Boggis and Katie Sams were the stars as Radley finished third in their Southern Women's League Division 1 meeting at Basildon on Saturday.

Boggis produced a best throw of 10.88m in the shot, and also stormed to victory in the 100m hurdles in 14.8secs, following her success in the English Schools Championships the previous week Sams finished first in the senior women's B string 800m in 2.25.2, second in the 400m (1.01.1) and fourth in the 1500m (5.38.7).

The afternoon started well for Radley with Kay Reynolds and Paula Woodland both grabbing personal bests in the hammer, throwing 18.89m and 9.10m respectively.

Imogen Miles recorded a jump double, winning both the A string long jump and triple jump with 5.39m and 11.29m respectively, while Sam Molyneux recorded 31.08m in the javelin.

Stacey Middleton won both the B string events.

In the junior section, there were personal bests for Olivia Elder in the shot (7.42m) and Rebecca Sunderland in the javelin (12.95).

After a convincing win in the 800m, Radley's Emma Grant grabbed a personal best of 27.9 in the 200m, while Beth Snowdon won the discus.
