The threat of a breakaway league being set up is expected to be discussed at an emergency OCA Executive Committee meeting at Tetsworth CC tonight.

The idea has been mooted to form a new league in protest at the way the OCA have handled recent high-profile disciplinary problems.

With several members of the committee having already resigned, or threatening to resign over a decision to reinstate East Oxford's second team in the Osberton Radiators Cup, the remaining members have been called to tonight's emergency meeting.

The meeting will discuss the ongoing fiasco, while the threat of a breakaway is also high on the agenda.

East Oxford were reinstated into the Osberton Radiators Cup, despite fielding two ineligible players in their quarter-final victory over Marcham 2nd.

It followed a threat of legal action over alleged racial discrimination.

The original decision to expel them from the competition was overturned by an appeal panel.

This was chaired by the same person who had presided over a decision to boot out Twyford 2nd from the Centenary Cup for an identical offence.

The decision to reinstate East Oxford has thrown the league's two second team cup competitions into chaos, after Marcham then lodged an appeal with the executive committee against their decision.
