Sam Deering was disciplined by Oxford United and sent home from Wycombe ahead of the club's npower League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers.
It's understood the midfielder was late reporting for the team meet-up to travel to Adams Park, and it was the second time he had reported late this week.
Deering would have been on the bench for the U's, but instead Ben Purkiss took his place.
